I first heard Downset in Munich,1994 on their tour with Biohazard.Their lyrics and music impressed me, for they are not just like the other bands´, saying "Fuck the system/the media", while selling themselves to it. I think this is also the main difference between Downset and RATM. Peace out!! 2; 1; 1.

i saw the guys play in philly on Sunday, the 8th. They played two sets, both of which were, of course, great. During the first set, some guy got hurt in the mosh pit. Rey finished the song, and made sure some EMTs came over to help the guy out. I just thought that that was great: more bands ought to care about people (especially their fans) like that. Also, the cover of Insided Out was perfect.

Downset kicked major ass at the OzzFest here at Giants Stadium in New Jersey. They were the best band on the second stage and performed right after Pantera. Even though Pantera turned Giant Stadium into one huge and electrifying moshpit, Downset got the audience to mosh like crazy. Downset loved us and we loved them. I only wished they had performed longer. Right after Downset's set I was out of energy and breathe, but it was amazing. This was the second time I had seen them.

I went to the Ozz Fest '97 at Great Woods and let me just say I left the main stage where Fear Factory, Machine Head, Type-0-Negative, and the likes were playing so I could see Downset at the mini rinky-dink stage perform twice. Of course at the rinky-dink stage i could actually see the band member's faces! These guys kick and they are one of the most enegetic bands i've ever seen perform, they'll be around for a while.

excellent site, one of the best i've seen for ages. nice consistent layout. the personal stuff - the thoughts from rey especially - was a thoughtful inclusion. it's not often you actually get stuff like that on band sites. it's nice to know what's actually going on behind the scenes, so to speak, the thoughts of the band and why they do what they do, as well as the obvious stuff, like lyrics and tour dates. good work!

Downset was great in concert. I saw them at the ozzfest in indianapolis. This was one of the first times i had ever heard them . But i liked them alot and am planning to buy as many of their cd's as i can. One thing that was real kool was that after their set when another band was playing the lead singer from downset came into the crowd and moshed with us.(this was on a side stage)

I think that downset's music and their lyrics should be looked at and understood. On the surface, the music is outstanding, I've listened to their music for years now and I never get tired of it. The lyrics tell the truth, whenever I try and learn a new song I read the lyrics first then I say to myself how true that is.

I hope the band will get this thank you note. I was involved in a horrible relationship with a guy that sexually used me, emotionally and mentally abused me under the pretense that he cared. i have heard their first album, and honestly i think the band itself plays well ,but the lead vocalist "messenger" or whatever he wants to call himself, sucks, the raps are too long and dragged out and boring,we've all heard that shit forever ,it contains no creativity whatsoever,and his voice sucks.

DOWNSET RULES! But, I must say something to all you people that have seen downset at least once: I'm a Brazilian girl and I live in Brazil. downset have never been to Brazil. Downset is great. My friends and I met them at StarLake Amp in July 97, then followed them to Detroit, and then Columbus. There music is dope!
